As you may have noticed I love the idea of recycling and I love it even more when our kids get to Reuse, Recycle, and  Make Art! So I am sharing this article from Liberty Art News.

 Supplies Needed for Festival Kids
  Again this year, organizers
of the
Liberty Arts Squared festival are seeking donations of new or recycled household materials to be used for children's art activities at the 5th annual Liberty Arts Squared Festival on June
6 & 7.
Wrapping paper will be styled into fancy hats, and ribbon and beads and will be transformed into jewelry. As you clean out your closets and drawers this spring, consider dropping off extra items at City Hall to be recycled into art:   ·         Washable non-toxic paints ·         Crayons, colored markers and pencils ·         Black construction paper ·         Sidewalk chalk ·         Plastic and Styrofoam egg cartons ·         Hole punches ·         Child safe scissors ·         Colored string ·         Tape (clear and masking) ·         Eyedroppers ·         Paint brushes ·         Sculpting clay (especially colored) ·         Sculpting tools ·         Small cardboard jewelry boxes ·         Tongue depressors and Popsicle sticks ·         White glue ·         Paper lunch bags ·         Wrapping paper ·         Ribbon ·         Beads ·         Pipe cleaners ·         Other items suitable for hat decorations   Organizers are also seeking donations of an MP3 player or other recording device for story-telling, and a portable foot-powered pottery wheel.     Donations may be dropped in the collection bin located in the lobby of City Hall, 101 E. Kansas St., during regular business hours. If you have items to donate but can't make it to City Hall, please call 439-4537 or e-mail to arrange for pick-up.
Please share this so we can help our kids creativity kick into full force! And please spread the info so that we have a wonderful turnout!
